Lord of the Rings Costumes I have seen

Notes on the Lord of the Rings Exhibit at Te Papa, Wellington.

In February I got to the Lord of the Rings Exhibition at Te Papa. I spent three hours studying a few costumes, as there was an absolute plethora of armour that I had no hopes of commiting to memory.
I was very lucky to get a pen into the exhibition, and so was able to make little sketches to prod my memory when I left the exhibit. Unfortunately I didn’t manage to get paper in (forgot to take it out of my purse before handing it in with my camera downstairs), but I did doodle on the leaflets we were given.
Two women commented on my extreme inspection of the Riding Costume, one that I must want one for myself;) And the other asked if I was in the business. I replied sort of;)
I spent three hours in there, and only dragged myself away when I realised I was going to miss out on the rest of the museum if I stayed any longer.

Notes on the Armour at Armageddon

I attended my first convention in April 2003, primarily for the cosplay competition which I won for those interested with my Dark Galadriel costume. On display just as you entered was a stand of LotR prodcuts from Weta. Including two costumes from the movie, and elf archer at Helm's Deep and an Orc. I took several photos of the elf, and only one turned out for the Orc.
